LIVIUS is equipped with a powerful 532 MHz ARM11 CPU. The embedded system performs services such as alerting, controlling, data acquisitioning and logging, monitoring and telecontrol tasks in one hardware. Even though the unit normally will be accessed remotely, it is equipped with a keypad, status LEDS and a 3.2" OLED display. The integrated Li-ion battery ensures backup functionality for some hours.

LIVIUS can communicate via Ethernet and the integrated GSM/GPRS modem as well as on USB, RS-232, RS-485, 1-Wire and CAN interfaces. Digital and analogue I/Os open a large range field for control and measurement applications.

LIVIUS supports Microsoft Windows Embedded CE and a first Linux release.

Starter Kits with preinstalled ROM images for Windows Embedded CE as well as optimized driver and support packages simplify the project entry.

The devices will be shipped with a standardized operating system (ROM-Image) and related drivers and libraries. You might choose between Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 and later Linux, which is in development.

LinkWe permanently work on developments and improvements. The latest releases will be published on our web site respectively in the FTP Area of the related product.

To customize the operating system to the individual requirements of your application, the Windows CE board support package (BSP) is required, which is available as binary for download on our FTP Server.

To use the BSP, the Microsoft Platform Builder is essential. You may need to purchase this additonal software from one of the Microsoft Windows Embedded distributors.
